Dougie Mallette does a damn good job of presenting this even with a tough crowd: http://dotsub.com/view/6d679820-7e99-4df7-b41d-5c9c3c59e744

Anti-Cuts Demonstration in Edinburgh

Maybe a bit late notice, but I heard of this through the SSY:

"This Wednesday, Chancellor George Osborne will present the coalition's October spending review, which will line up the billions of pounds of public spending cuts the government are intent on pursuing over the next year. Hundreds of thousands of public sector jobs will be cut. Billions will be slashed from hospitals, benefits, schools, pensions and council services. The impact of the cuts will be hard to imagine - but they amount to a huge attack on us all, as the Tories try and force us to pay for the crisis of the banks and the rich.

On Saturday 23 October there's a really important demonstration in Edinburgh against the coalition government's 'austerity' plans, which has been called by the Scottish Trade Union Congress. Tens of thousands of people are expected to come out on to the streets to show their opposition, and SSY is planning to have a big a turnout as possible as well. You can check out more info on the demo on the STUC campaign website here, and I've also attached the poster for the demo to this email.
The demo will assemble at 11am on East Market Street, near Waverley Station.

Can you come?

Coaches are being laid on from across Scotland, and most of them are subsidised or even free!"

Just wondered if anyone has the time to turn up and educate this disgruntled mass in a friendly way.
