Tom and I will be attending this forum meeting to represent TZM. Anyone else from the EA Chapter is welcome to join us. Might be able to video record this.

I really wish I could come to this event and sincerely hope it will be filmed and uploaded onto this site. As an ex member of the SPGB Glasgow branch and a vociferous supporter of the WSM I am thrilled that this event is happening. I only hope that this might be the beginning of many more such forums between both organisations all over the UK. Of all the political parties in the world NONE come closer to the Zeitgeist vision that the SPGB/WSM. I really do hope both entities can transmogrify because a lot of learning needs to be done...on both sides! Yours for World Socialism/RBE. Cheers Ray

Excellent - I will really try to make it for this. I'm based in Reading, so anyone from Berks/London areas want to car-share?

Is there an agenda posted anywhere?
Also, is there a well-defined format for the meeting (talks+debate, structured debate, unstructured debate, networking, Q&A, etc.)?

I think it would help to see a structured discussion and to know what the goals for both groups are - I'm sure someone already has all this well under control, I'd just like to know in advance what form it will take

All public meetings organised by the Socialist Party follow the same format where the speaker( are given 20 to 30 minutes to lay out their stall followed by an open discussion until all questions and suggestions are exhausted or the time booked runs over. For instance, the talk I gave last night in Lancaster on TZM lasted about 30 minutes but the discussion took another hour and a half.

Obviously, a lot of ground was covered by the members of both organisation's and the overall con sensus was that each organisation had a learning curve in front of them, in respect of the positive contributions they could make - albeit as individual members - in raising awareness and class consciousness.

Liam Swords will try his best to edit the film before the Norwich forum takes place on the 9th so the speakers have an opportunity to broaden their discussion. I do hope the event at Norwich is filmed also so the members of both organisations have a balanced view of where the differences lay and what they can do about it.

A useful exchange of ideas took place at the Quebec Arms in Norwich yesterday with two members of the local chapter of the Zeitgeist
Movement. Stair represented the Socialist Party and a total of 15 members and friends were present.

There are items for discussion on the Zeitgeist Movement scheduled for the Sunday session of the Socialist Party's Autumn Delegate Meeting which takes
place next weekend (October 16th/17th; from 10.30am each day) at the Party's premises situated at 52 Clapham High Street, London. SW4 7UN.

(nearest tube: Clapham North - Northern line)

All welcome.

In case anyone is interested,

In case anyone is interested, a video recording was captured of this event which you can view here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LnAbtTk2DhY
There are 8 parts in total -- the actual recording is over 2 hours in length, so I had to condense a lot of it down as I simply don't have the time to export many gigabytes of this HD footage.
