Here's a little more information taken from the facebook event page:

'A Spectre haunts the face of Marxist theory: the spectre of the mudpie argument. It was this central conundrum that Marx devoted his momentous work “Das MudPie”. It has since haunted Marxist theorists of all persuasions. How can Marxists theory go on in light of this devastating theoretical problem?

Just Kidding…'

This is the second in a series of short films we will be showing by 'Kapitalism 101' (http://kapitalism101.wordpress.com/). The aim is to stimulate discussion, dialogue and debate.

As we see it, there is no doubt that the profit system - capitalism - is a barrier to human development. Until human need - which is aligned with the needs of the ...planet as a whole - becomes the sole purpose of production, poverty, inequality, war and pollution will continue to be with us.

If you agree or disagree with these ideas or would just like to hear more please come along.

This event is hosted by The East Anglian Regional Branch of The Socialist Party of Great Britain - http://www.worldsocialism.org/spgb

The Socialist Party is like no other political party in Britain. It is made up of people who have joined together because we want to get rid of the profit system and establish real socialism.

Our aim is to persuade others to become socialist and act for themselves, organizing democratically and without leaders, to bring about the kind of society that we advocate.
